The best part of our stay was AJ, who helped with rides, advice, and all the little things that made everything go smoothly. His wife Vandana also makes lovely meals if you don't want to cook every night. The two houses have everything you need, and the garden is full of fruit and vegetables. Snorkelling from the beach takes a bit of a swim to reach the good spot, but it was amazing once we got there. We found it easier to go by boat. Taveuni is stunning, and the hospitality is too.

We had a really enjoyable stay here. It’s a peaceful place, with beautifully kept grounds and rooms. The boat launch is just across the way, and having hot water, wifi, and kayaks available was a real bonus. A great option in Matei.

Jay, the owner, was so lovely and flexible, and had lots of helpful advice. The bungalow was clean and cared for, with a beautiful garden and a lovely view. Having a kitchen was handy for making meals, though the little supermarket next door has a limited selection. I’d recommend staying here while exploring Taveuni.
