The hike was really good, and Sam on snorkelling and Max on the hike made everything easy for us. Everyone looked after us so well. A special mention for the chef, who took care of our specific vegetarian needs and made us feel at home. The whole experience was splendid, and we had our best holiday.

Getting there was well organized, from the airport shuttle to the marina to the resort boat ride, which was fast and a bit bumpy. The communication while we planned the trip was excellent too. At Octopus, our Family Beachfront Bure was clean and well stocked, and even with neighbors nearby it felt private since they were mostly out of sight and sound. The outdoor shower was a dream, the food was great, and the whole resort was kept tidy. We spent Christmas there with our two teenage kids, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the weaving, coconut demos, and snorkeling trips. My family said the Mountain Hike was hard work but well worth it. I hoped the place would be as pretty as the pictures, but it was even better. I can't think of anything that could have improved our stay.

The staff were friendly without hovering, which I really appreciated, and dinner had vegetarian options, though the selection was limited. We took the Yasawa Flyer Ferry from Port Denarau to get there. Our premium bungalow (bura) was comfortable and stylish. The beach was fantastic, and the coral reef just off shore was incredible. Snorkeling equipment was provided at no extra cost. The resort itself is beautiful. Much recommended!

The reef snorkeling right from the beach was lovely, and the clear water and sunsets made the setting stunning. Food was consistently excellent, with plenty of variety and care for different needs. Octopus Resort has become our favorite after staying at heaps of resorts in Fiji. This was our third visit, and we were already talking about coming back before we left. The stay felt warm and easy from the moment we arrived. Staff were friendly, attentive, and generous with their time, making us feel looked after without forcing it. It has a relaxed, special feel, barefoot luxury without pretence. A truly memorable Fiji experience.

There are interesting activities every day, and some don't cost anything. The boat snorkeling is FJD 50 per person and highly recommended. The spot was pristine, with colorful, unspoiled coral and lots of fish. I thought it was even better than some places at Great Barrier Reef. The resort is beautiful, and most of the staff are friendly. I wasn't quite used to having an outdoor bathroom, though. We even had a crab visit the outdoor shower 😂
