Wakaya Club & Spa

The beaches and island hike were both available, and we made time for them. On our private beach day, we had walkie talkies and a cooler packed with gourmet food and champagne. July, their winter, brought perfect weather for us. We came to Wakaya Club for our 25th wedding anniversary, and it was the best vacation we’ve ever had, truly like heaven on earth. We arrived early in the morning to mimosas and a tour of our Bule and the island amenities. There’s a nine-hole golf course, a gym, spa, small pool, scuba lessons, and snorkeling right outside the Bule. A hammock and chairs were set up by the beach too. Our Bule had a private back porch and yard as well as a front porch, an outdoor grotto shower, a beautiful bedroom and living area, and a fridge with homemade ginger oatmeal cookies waiting inside. The staff were so kind and attentive. They even washed the clothes in our hamper each day and returned them folded by afternoon, so I could have packed less. For our anniversary, they arranged a private dinner by the beach, serenaded us at the table, made us a cake, and gave us a lovely hand-carved turtle bowl to remember the trip. The gourmet food was incredible.

The food was good quality, and the service was excellent. You really do get the five-star treatment here. It felt like a perfect paradise.
