Staying here with the locals was such a lovely experience :) We had a private room but joined the hosts for breakfast. They're wonderful people, and we had so many great, thoughtful conversations. Simpa the cat kept us company too, so we felt right at home! 💛😽

I came back for my second stay this year, spending 17 nights in April/May in a single room with a shared bathroom. Lilja takes wonderful care of her guests and shares helpful advice about activities, her country, and its traditions. She also explains how to handle the changeable weather, when it's safe to head out, and when it may be better to stay in. From my window on May 2, I even saw the Northern Lights. The rooms are cozy and have what you need, and the location in Leirvík makes a great base for exploring the Faroe Islands with locals. Each morning, Lilja serves a delicious breakfast with homemade bread and Faroese specialties. Guests from different countries sit together at a big table, where we had interesting conversations and shared tips. On some evenings, you can book a delicious three-course Faroese dinner. The sights are easy and quick to reach, since distances aren't far. Thank you for the warm hospitality and wonderful stay!

Lilja was so friendly and helpful, and made an amazing breakfast with lots of homemade and local food. The room was comfortable and nice, with parking right outside the house. The shared bathroom is downstairs, and it's big and very nice. Simba is an extra treat 😺

The host, Lilja, was wonderful and ready with helpful tips, and she made amazing breakfasts. The apartment is in a quiet, pleasant location, with parking in front of the house. You can also walk to the ruins of a Viking farmhouse.
