Hilton Garden Inn Faroe Islands

The service was fantastic. Everyone was kind, informative, and clearly cared about their work. The rooms were really nice, though the view wasn't much. There was only one duvet for the double bed, and in my opinion the bed was uncomfortable to sleep in. I'd also really like Chromecast or some way to stream movies in the room.

The location made it easy to get around, with downtown Torshavn, groceries, and restaurants just a few minutes away. We also enjoyed the lunch menu, especially the beef steak and baked cod, which were tasty and good value. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the free laundry service was a welcome extra. We first booked two weeks and then stayed four more days. John at reception sorted out the extension without making us change rooms, and Celeste in the restaurant was friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay and would happily return. Thanks for the hospitality.

Breakfast and dinner were both very good, and our bedroom was really nice. The location is excellent, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Bad weather led the airline to postpone our flight several days in a row, so we couldn't even get to the islands. We lost two of the three nights we had booked, through no fault of our own, and sent Hilton our tickets and the airline's confirmations. The airline and even the car rental company refunded us. We contacted Hilton right away by phone and in writing. They said we'd paid through an agency and that the rate couldn't be refunded. The agency confirmed that the hotel had declined the refund, leaving us with no way forward. Hilton also refused to discuss it with us directly. We've visited Hilton Worldwide many times, but after this experience we strongly can't recommend it.
