The apartment was excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and great views from the penthouse. We could hike straight from the chalet, and there’s an indoor pool, sauna, and gym in the office block. The basement parking was tricky. The spaces are very narrow, and a wide car may only just fit because there are pillars at the entrance to each bay.

We spent the first week of January 2026 in the penthouse with our children and grandchildren, and had a wonderful winter sports holiday at Alpchalets Portes du Soleil. It’s a lovely, spacious, modern home with all the comforts and conveniences. The managers are friendly and helpful, and think along with you. The garage under the apartments keeps the car dry and frost-free. Chatel has beautiful ski slopes, though snow chains are essential to reach the apartments when there’s snow. We enjoyed our stay enormously. Highly recommended!

We’ll definitely come back. The apartment was spacious, lovely, and clean, and it’s in a beautiful spot. Alfred and Josephine were easy to reach and very helpful. It’s a bit of a drive to the slopes, but perfectly manageable.

We had a fantastic week enjoying the snow with our adult children in these lovely new luxury apartments. There’s a huge ski area about a 20-minute drive away, though you definitely need snow chains for the steep road up. It’s a shame the bread delivery service wasn’t popular enough.

I’ll be back! There’s a large underground car park with plenty of room, and two spaces per apartment. In summer it’s always 20 degrees, with changeable weather. Intermarche is nearby, and there’s loads to do in Abondance. 🥰
