I couldn't sleep either night, so this place wasn't suitable if you're looking for a quiet stay. I complained to Booking while I was there, but nothing got resolved. The first night's noise came from a group of guests inside the hotel. Reception responded quickly but said there wasn't much they could do beyond trying to talk to them. On the second night, people were drinking, shouting, and setting off firecrackers in the street. I told reception several times, but they refused to step in and said calling the police was the only option. I tried, but couldn't get through. These were severe disturbances on both nights.

The beds were heavenly, the staff lovely, and the accommodations sweet. The location couldn't be better. You'll hear people outside because this is where they live. I'm writing this because I'm embarrassed by Americans who expect the world just for showing up. If you want a red carpet, stay on your cruise ship off an American coast. And if the AC isn't working, open the balcony door and get some fresh air. You probably need it.

The person at reception on May 6 at 3 pm was wonderful. They gave me all the information and support I needed to get to the train station, including a note with directions that made the trip less stressful. That service is what prompted me to write this review.

The room was fine, though nothing luxurious, and it had air-conditioning. We heard quite a bit of noise from people outside, especially over the weekend, but we left the balcony door open and slept through it. The location is perfect.

The staff were wonderful, and the location was perfect, in my favorite part of Paris. The rooms are small, as is typical in Europe, but comfortable. Having a fabulous boulangerie right next door was a nice bonus.
