Hotel Pirates World

The bed was very comfortable, and the suite made for a great stay. The owner is passionate about the pirate era and has put that interest into the hotel’s details, from the ceiling artwork and murals to the other decorations. There’s a lot of history woven into the storytelling. Cap Pirate was a lovely surprise, and the hotelier clearly knows how to stand out while offering good value. I recommend it.

This is only a review of the hotel. The attached restaurant was a big disappointment. At check-in, a receptionist invited us to relax in the pirate-themed lobby with a cold drink while we went over our reservation. She gave us VIP bracelets and showed us around the VIP area, then took my kids and me on a quick tour of the waterpark. We arrived around 1 pm and expected the room to be unavailable until 4, so we planned to change into swimsuits and play in the waterpark while we waited. After we parked, the bellman got our bags out of the car, and we were told the room was already ready. We were excited and went to see it before heading to the waterpark. The decorations had lots of thoughtful details, and the room was immaculately clean. The staff, room and service were wonderful. I wish we could’ve stayed more than one night. My daughter and I are already talking about having her birthday party there with friends next year, so we’ll definitely return.

I wasn’t sure France could pull off a theme park, especially one that isn’t right on the ocean. Turns out, yes, they can. The hotel was fantastic. The hallway and room details are so good that Disney could take notes, and there were so many little features in the room that coming back each night was fun. The waterpark was nice, though smaller than I expected. The lazy river was great, as were the kids’ water slide and the big lounging pool. The staff were fantastic, and Jean Pierre was a welcome sight at the gate at the end of every day. We had a great time, and I highly recommend it.

We had a terrific four-night stay in August in a “suite flibustier.” The decorations have so many little details in the rooms, hallways and lobby, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Getting an extra hour at the water park as hotel guests was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend it for families with kids.
