Odalys Résidence Primavera

There is no order here. Our agency-rented Apartment 204 was dirty, badly equipped, poorly managed, and full of broken things. In fifteen years of renting, we've never had an apartment this filthy. The parking spaces are too small, and there's noise in the apartments and corridors at all hours, day and night: loud music, constant door slamming, shouting, and loud conversations. Some people ignore the pool rules, swimming until 9 pm and eating, drinking, and smoking in the pool. Others use it to rinse off after the beach. The residence needs a security guard during the two summer months because people show no respect for the residents. Avoid it at all costs!

The comfortable beds and the nearby shops, sea, and activities were the good parts. Beyond that, there are a lot of issues. The building and common areas need attention, and the soundproofing is poor. My apartment wasn't very clean, with cobwebs on the terraces, and the mattress protectors were stained and apparently hadn't been changed after the previous guests. The heat indoors was unbearable, so fans or air conditioning would help. The hotplates were too small for the cookware and took ages to warm up. If you're a light sleeper, avoid the road-facing apartments, since traffic goes by often at night. I've been with Odalys for years, but I'm seriously thinking about changing holiday groups.

There are plenty of outdoor activities, and the shops, sea, and some pretty places are all within walking distance. It's handy with a dog, though the weekly fee is €50. The place itself is nice and comfortable, but the apartment felt rather cold. The car noise is loud, the shared areas were crowded with children shouting and crying, and the mattresses in both the beds and sofa were very uncomfortable. It felt low-end overall, and a good night's sleep or any real relaxation seems unlikely. Families with children may find it ideal, but sleep and quiet aren't what it's for.

The only real plus was the location, near the beach and shops. The accommodation was filthy, misleadingly described, and unsuitable for a family of four. The table only seats two, and the fridge is tiny. Even the baby kit costs extra. In the sweltering apartment there wasn't a fan, and the travel cot wouldn't fit in our room, so our baby daughter had to sleep with us. The double bed was two singles pushed together, with a headboard in terrible condition. There were no mattress protectors, despite current health regulations, and pillowcases and mattress covers cost an extra 20 euros per person. The shower curtain was dirty and unhygienic. Staff didn't wear masks during the pandemic and seemed not to care; there was no hand sanitizer. At night, children ran and shouted in the halls, and neighbors kept slamming doors. The parking lot was dark and cramped. The pool was dirty and had no showers. There were no children's activities, despite the booking confirmation mentioning kids' clubs, and the pool table didn't work. We were hurried to pay the tourist tax on arrival and then again when leaving. This was my first and last stay with this hotel group. A disgrace for the price.
