The rooms are spacious, but the pictures make the place look better than it is. There was no shower gel in the pump, and the stained carpets put me off. It didn’t feel very clean. For a four-star hotel, I’d also expect a dressing gown.

I spend over 150 nights a year in hotels, and this Mercure is among the most comfortable, clean and friendly places we’ve stayed. Thank you to the Mercure team, especially Tommy and Michaela.

The suite was spacious and very clean, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Richelieu beach is a nice, easy five-minute ride away. In the morning, though, the boiler caused a short circuit and we lost power for a while. There’s a bar that may serve finger food, but no restaurant, which is a bit disappointing for a four-star hotel. Still, a good experience overall.

The rooms were clean, cosy and had a balcony, and I thought the stay was good value. There’s a cute spa and fitness centre too, though it’s a bit strange that there’s no changing room in that area. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come again. Late checkout is a big plus for me.
