With no AC, we had to leave the window open all night, and then a lot of mosquitos got into the room. The sheets were dirty, and the room smelled like cat pee. It was 38 degrees that day, but the beds still had their winter blankets, so it was either cover up and sweat without getting bitten, or leave yourself exposed to the mosquitos. Pick your poison, or stay at any other hotel if you can.

My dad and I had lunch there on a Sunday and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I started with the Pierre salad, then had the ris de veau in bouchée à la reine. I really recommend it, it’s exquisite.

The free use of the washroom was handy, and definitely cheaper than using laundry service at other hotels. The hotel was well located for our trip, and the rooms were a reasonable size. Our room had no air conditioning, though, and leaving the balcony doors open let in a lot of outside noise. That was our biggest problem. Breakfasts and dinners were okay but not brilliant, and breakfast didn’t have much choice.

Parking was included, and the hotel was clean, with nice views if you get a Mountain View room. It’s about 10 minutes from Lourdes. The rooms are a bit small, but clean and nice. The location is somewhat isolated, with no places nearby to eat or anything.

The restaurant food was great. I had a four-course meal, and the price was very good for the quality. It felt like a typically French hotel. Our room was small, but it had a new bathroom and a working drain.
