Chambres Dhtes Farniente

I came for a week of French language immersion, and Gudrun found just the right level for me. She was encouraging and understanding, and I left having made real progress. I also learned about the region's culture, traditional sports, crafts, and artisans in a way no guidebook could have offered. The guesthouse is comfortable and has a wonderfully authentic feel. My en-suite room was lovely, and breakfast each morning featured delicious local specialties. Gudrun made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. Her warmth, generosity, and attention made the stay special, and she never made anything feel like too much trouble. Aigues-Mortes is a great base for exploring the wider Camargue, with cafés, bars, shops, restaurants, and historic ramparts just steps away. For a personal and enriching stay, B&B Farniente and the remarkable Gudrun are hard to beat.

The ground-floor room was simple rather than luxurious, but it was comfortable enough and very well placed for visiting Aigues-Mortes and the surrounding area. Gudrun was the real highlight: she's incredibly kind and knows the Camargue inside out. We had delicious, generous breakfasts around the table, with a chance to chat and get useful tips for planning our visit. Our stay at B&B Farniente was more than pleasant.

We stayed in Gudrun's home and immediately felt part of a warm, authentic atmosphere. Il Farniente is more of an experience than a typical B&B. Gudrun's passion, warmth, and deep knowledge of the area made our time unforgettable. Her stories and helpful advice let us see Aigues Mortes and the surrounding area in a new way. A genuinely welcoming, distinctive place. Highly recommended!

The rooms are spacious, bright, comfortable, and full of the guesthouse's own character. Breakfast was generous, with seasonal organic fruit, local specialties, and homemade jams. Gudrun was warm and attentive, and she knows the area well. She was happy to share about Camargue culture, places to visit, and where to eat. We spent two days at her guesthouse, just two blocks from the city walls, and had a wonderful time. It's a good choice if you want somewhere with a local feel and a chance to experience the culture firsthand, rather than an impersonal, uniform hotel.
