Marcelle en Camargue

Two nights was far too short, and next time we’ll make it three. Franck and Francois have flawless design taste and attention to detail, from self-service cool drinks to beach towels and locally made solid bar shampoos and soaps. It was a privilege to spend the first days of our honeymoon in this signature boutique hotel, and I can’t recommend it enough. The town quickly became my favourite village in France, with delicious restaurants, cobbled streets, a fairy walkway through marshland just outside the ramparts, and white horses and flamingos a short cycle away. Can’t wait to come back.

The hosts were great, and the house is beautiful. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. If we return, this will be our first choice.

Each morning there was a fresh bowl of local fruit, along with local breads and pastries. Wine, juices, tea, and coffee were available too. The hosts were absolutely delightful and nothing was too much trouble. The house is a real treasure in the heart of Aigues Cortes, decorated to an exceptionally high standard with so much attention to detail. The interesting art, books, and furniture make the stay feel unique, relaxing, and peaceful.

Our room was lovely, with the feel of a 5-star hotel. Marcelle en Camargue is furnished with so much care, and Frank was a terrific host. We had an exceptional stay.
