After a day of hiking, rafting, or other resort activities, the excellent bedding makes for a good night’s sleep. The chalet itself is beautiful, roomy, and comfortable, with a functional, well-equipped kitchen that works well for big family meals.

Sarah gave us a warm welcome, let us check in early, and was quick to respond to our comments. The chalet is large, very comfortable, and well equipped, with a bright living room where everyone can sit together. Its resort location is excellent, and even young children can get around on foot. We’re booking again for next year!

The chalet is pleasant to stay in, and its location in La Plagne Montalbert makes getting around easy without a car. The lifts, rentals, bakery, restaurant, and small supermarket are all nearby. Still, at €6590 for a week, we don’t think the price is justified. There’s plenty of space, but the standard doesn’t match the rate: the well-equipped kitchen is showing its age, with loose drawers and a broken handle. In the bedrooms, a bed drawer is broken, some dressers are hard to open or missing handles, a bathroom mirror bulb needs replacing, and the toilet drainage is rather poor. These things didn’t stop us having a good stay, but at this weekly price we feel the chalet should be close to flawless. That’s why we gave it three stars.

Be aware that the area shuts down after ski season and stays closed until early July, so plan with that in mind. It’s very quiet then, and the chalet has a lovely view. The place is functional, though I wasn’t keen on some of the bedding and think it could be improved.

We’ve stayed here several times with other couples, in both summer and winter. The chalet is splendid, spotless, and welcoming. It’s right by the slopes, with the village and lifts only a few minutes away on foot, or a scooter ride for the children. The owner is fantastic. Highly recommend!
