I was told I could collect my bags whenever I wanted after checkout, since reception was always staffed. So, on April 25 around 6 p.m., I headed back and ordered an Uber on the way. Instead, the desk was unattended, with a sign saying the receptionist was helping other clients and no way to contact anyone. I waited about 10 minutes, then 15, then 20, while other guests gathered. My driver arrived and warned me I'd be charged for the wait, so I eventually had to cancel. Roughly 25 minutes after I arrived, the receptionist came back very slowly. I showed her the luggage number slip and explained the situation, with the driver waiting by the entrance. She said she didn't like my tone and now needed to see my ID because she didn't know who I was. She also said she worked a 10-hour shift and could take breaks as she pleased, and told me to speak to her boss if I had a problem. When I asked why the sign said she was attending to clients instead of being on a break, she again said to talk to her boss. My train wasn't about to leave, luckily, but I still had to pay for the canceled Uber. The receptionist said Uber charges had happened before and been refunded. After I explained what happened to Uber, they did refund me. This felt like a pattern. I stayed two nights despite reading the one-star reviews about service, and that was a bad decision. Be warned: I found no customer service, professionalism, or seriousness here. Odalys seems to care only about staff break times.

The staff were kind and helpful, but the room was full of mold, especially in the bathroom. It seemed to have been covered up so it wouldn't show in photos, yet the smell was strong. Showering with that odor was a horrible experience. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The room was spacious and really nice. Getting to food was the downside: the location is far from almost everything, so we had to take a bus or walk about 30 minutes to find somewhere to eat.

It was easy to get into the city by bus, with frequent service, and there's a grocery store about two blocks away. The apartment had comfortable facilities and made it simple to cook and eat in. Parking was available, and breakfast was good. It had what I needed for a relaxed, comfortable trip. A perfect place to stay in Aix-en-Provence.

Really spacious, and the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, so you can stock the fridge and make your own meals. The lift felt spooky, and the walkway had dim yellow lighting. It's some distance to the Flixbus station, and at odd hours there isn't a bus.
