Friendly staff and a great location are the main positives. It’s cheap, so you get what you pay for, but the bathroom was rough. The tiles are painted to look fresh in the photos, yet the cheap paint was peeling when we went in. The towels were the worst part, so unpleasant that we used t-shirts instead. That’s unacceptable. The shower curtain didn’t work and the bathroom kept flooding. Bedding was okay, while the hallway felt old and tired.

My room looked out onto a lovely garden, and the service was excellent. Everything is within walking distance from this great location. C’est très bien!

The staff were warm and hospitable, and when we emailed about assigning a room to suit a mobility issue, they arranged it. The garden is a lovely break from the busy city, once you make your way along the long entrance to reception, which feels a bit like Alice in Wonderland, kind of psychedelic. Our Luxury street view room was a good size, and we loved the garden suite. Yes, it’s a 2-star place without an elevator and with a few amenities missing, but it’s a great place all the same.

The staff were wonderful, and so was the room. Excellent hotel, highly recommend.

The hotel’s been here since 1972 and was recently renovated. Rooms are all small, but tastefully done, and the new lawn in the garden makes a big difference. Its location is excellent for exploring the old town on foot, with parking right next door, which is very convenient. There are plenty of places for food and drinks day and night along the street. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to come back.
