The portions were almost too big, and both our meals were excellent: I had the chicken burger, my husband had the steak. We ate inside, where the decor was lovely, even though there’s a terrace too. The staff were friendly and the service was quick without feeling rushed. We also had a very good local red wine. Prices are medium to high.

The staff were welcoming and made for a pleasant meal, but the food was a mixed bag. The burger I ordered medium came out dry and overcooked. The Gourmande had tasty seared and smoked duck breast, foie gras, and gizzards, though the ingredients didn’t come together as a dish. We also expected the risotto to be cooked in the rich octopus tomato sauce, but they arrived separately, which felt disjointed. We ate at the restaurant, not the hotel, though Google Maps doesn’t make the distinction.

A cozy interior makes this a nice place to stop for an evening drink. It’s a charming restaurant tucked into a quiet pedestrian area, with a good range of freshly prepared, nicely presented dishes. Prices are about average for Ajaccio. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff speak English too.

The manager gave us a lovely travel memory by introducing us to the song “Hegoak” (our “Txoria Txori”) and putting it on. Euskaldunak eta Corsoak bat eginda! I Baschi è i Corsi sò unu! The restaurant is recommended in Ajaccio, with nice meals and friendly, helpful staff.
