Hôtel Stella Di Mare

We're currently in room 602 and are very unhappy with the hotel. The booking was canceled because we arrived late, and they refused any refund or other compensation. When we got to the room, the blinds were broken. The receptionist was helpful in manner but didn't take the initiative to find a fix. We raised it again the next day, but the receptionist was rude from the start and repeated that we wouldn't get a refund or compensation. The hotel still hadn't fixed the blinds, and it seemed they'd forgotten about the problem until we brought it up again. The single beds are tiny and flimsy, not really big enough for adults. When we mentioned that, the receptionist didn't seem to care. Customer service here is seriously lacking, and I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. I may update this if things improve.

It's a bit expensive, but we were satisfied and would definitely recommend it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with advice when we had questions. Rooms are very spacious and clean, and the big terrace with a sea view was lovely for coffee in the morning or sitting out at night. Breakfast had plenty of variety. The location is just right from Ajaccio, neither too far nor too close, and the car park felt very secure.

Set right by the beach, the hotel has an incredible view over the Gulf of Ajaccio and the Sanguinaires islands. It's in a suburb, about 15 minutes by car or 20 minutes on public transport from town. The rooms are well appointed and we slept really well. There's a good breakfast restaurant and another restaurant for dinner right by the water. Staff were friendly and very helpful. It's a lovely mid-range hotel that could easily have four stars, and I'd come back next time I'm in Ajaccio.

We liked being a little outside town since we had a car. Our room was right at the water's edge, with good-quality finishes, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's a lovely outdoor bar where you can watch the sea. We'd stay again.
