Hôtel La Pinède

We had a lovely stay. The hotel was spotless and well organised, and the staff were great and helpful. It was easy to arrive early, and there was a good choice at breakfast, plus tasty snacks and salads at lunchtime. The pool was lovely, and the garden was a nice shady spot to relax in. The hotel is right next to the beach.

The ocean and pool views are quite nice, and there's a beach restaurant across the street where you can rent a bed for the day for €15. But the rooms are extremely small and need some thought and renovation. In my first room, the toilet had a problem and water overflowed across the floor, so they moved me.

We were a family of five and had one double room and one triple room. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service friendly. It's a good value hotel with a pool and the beach across the road. Ajaccio centre is about a 40-minute walk, or you can take the very easy number 5 bus. Ile de sanguinaires is also nearby and reachable by bus or car. We enjoyed an unforgettable sunset there.

All the staff were wonderful, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. The pool was sparkling clean, and there's a secret passageway to a little sandy beach on the Mediterranean Sea. My room was perfect, spacious and airy, with a good-sized bathroom and a gorgeous balcony with a table and chairs where I enjoyed breakfast. Breakfast itself was terrific, with a tremendous variety of choices. Fabulous value for the money.
