Pedro was a standout, professional, funny, and genuinely helpful. He deserves a raise, and a poolside office! The hotel is an easy walk from Ajaccio’s old town, and my balcony room was clean and comfortable. The pool was a lovely place to unwind between sightseeing, though I wish the hotel would stop people from claiming loungers for hours with towels.

The rooms were clean and pleasant, and everyone from reception to the rooftop bar was kind, helpful, and fun. The terrace on the sixth floor has an amazing view. Breakfast was the weak point, though. Improve that and this could easily be a five-star hotel. Thanks for everything, girls 🙏

The pool was a mess. While our children were swimming, a group of adults started shouting and disturbing everyone. Staff removed our children instead of telling the adults to quiet down, and later those adults got even louder and more chaotic than the kids had been. Management handled the situation terribly. Our room was also filthy. The dishes were dirty, the water bottle was empty, and the kettle still had old water in it, as if it hadn't been cleaned. That's unacceptable for a four-star hotel. We were charged €160 as a supposed deposit, but nobody explained what happened to that money. It felt like a scam. When we complained about the room, the young woman at reception said, “What did you expect? This is France! Be thankful we even reserved a room for you!” Later a male employee brushed us off at the front desk with, “Oh, step aside, I have a check-in, we’ll deal with it later.” Rude and insulting. Our stay at Mercure Hotel in Ajaccio was an absolute disaster. It's overpriced, dirty, and run by staff who clearly don't care about guests. I would never recommend it. A disgrace to the Mercure brand. Avoid it at all costs.

The rooftop patio was a lovely spot to sit and take in the whole view of Ajaccio, and I liked the pool area too. The hotel was modern, clean, and quiet. My room was comfortable and the AC worked well, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had breakfast there once, it was good and affordable. Nice place!

Handy spot for the ferry port, and the old citadel is about a 15-minute walk away. Good hotel.
