Rosie's Club

Parking was easy, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. The place felt cozy, clean and freshly renovated.

We came away very disappointed. The room itself was clean, but the building felt unsettling and made us uneasy. The window faced bars, so we couldn’t open it, and the room felt oppressive. Sound carried terribly: we could hear people talking in the next room as if they were beside us, and every noise from the common room came through. For much of the night we could even hear other guests having sex, so we couldn’t get any rest.

The place was quiet and pleasantly situated, and we really liked the bedding and being able to use the shared area. It seems like good value for money, even though the building is a little run-down. As for the TV, the antenna must have been spinning, or maybe we just couldn’t work it out! Thanks.

The room matched the photos and description. Things went wrong when we asked to stay an extra night. One woman arrived as we were due to leave at 11:00 AM, and we told her about the request. Her partner agreed, but about 15 minutes later another woman called, clearly annoyed, and told us to “get out.” She said she hadn’t been told about the request. The service could have been perfect until then.
