Domaine Des Ormeaux

Breakfast was terrific, and the setting was so peaceful. We spent two nights at Domaine des Ormeaux and felt welcome from the start. Vincent was warm and helpful, with plenty of ideas for places to visit. We hope to come back soon, thank you, Vincent.

Vincent made us feel right at home. The place was spotless and comfortable, just what we wanted for a peaceful, picturesque break. Thank you.

There’s no shop in the village, so you’ll need to drive a few kilometres for supplies. We were happy with the genuine rural, farming setting, though. The bar/restaurant in Ajat was there, but we didn’t try it. We did go a couple of times to the more distant restaurant recommended to us, Brin de Thym, and it was excellent. We stayed for a quiet month in winter, our first extended gîte stay, and really enjoyed it. Vincent, Xavier and Marie-Helene were kind and helpful, sorting out small issues straight away without intruding. The gîte had everything we needed. The outdoor pool wasn’t available in winter, and we didn’t use the spa. Keeping the gîte comfortable took quite a bit of heating, so energy costs were paid separately at the end of the stay. We’d recommend Domaine des Ormeaux for a peaceful, relaxing getaway for adults.

Our apartment in Ajat was quite spacious, with a nice view from the terrace. The WiFi worked well for remote work, including video calls, and we had a very nice stay.
