We had dinner with our three children in a pleasant setting, and on paper the place has a lot going for it. Ange, our young waiter, seemed well-meaning and handled most of the service reasonably well, but some awkward moments got in the way. We were asked to fetch a highchair ourselves, and he called to us from across the restaurant, bringing other diners into the conversation. When my wife ordered cheese and végétale as a main course, he remarked that the chef would be disappointed. He also said it was the first kids' menu he'd had to do in three months and that he wasn't sure how. Those comments didn't inspire confidence. Ange has real potential, but needs to refine his approach and manner. The next table said they wouldn't return; with other options in the area, we probably won't either.

We had a very nice evening meal at the hotel restaurant, though I've had better steaks. The hotel is lovely and well placed for a huge number of memorials, with Lochnagar crater just up the road. There are also several things to see in Albert, including the Somme museum.

The staff were superb ❤️ and the restaurant food was great at both dinner and breakfast. Our room was nicely decorated, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We highly recommend the place and would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and perfectly good for the two nights we stayed. Staff were welcoming, there's a good bar with lots of drink choices, and a large free car park on site. It's on the edge of town, which worked well for our visits to WW1 sites. They didn't have a chef, so we couldn't try dinner. Breakfast was OK, with enough cold options; bacon and eggs were offered on the second morning, I guess because there was no chef.

The rooms are a good size, the air conditioning works well, and the location is good. Staff were helpful, and there's plenty of private parking. But there was no WiFi or internet connection, and the hotel bar was very expensive: €15 for a pint of beer and a bottle of beer. We didn't use the restaurant for that reason. It's a nice hotel if money and internet access aren't concerns.
