The photos looked appealing, but arriving was a very different story. The place hadn't been cleaned properly, with dirty dishes, clutter left in the cupboards and cobwebs. I also lost count of the safety issues: exposed electrical wiring, a sink that wouldn't stay put and a patio door that leaks. A mattress on the floor doesn't pass as a bed, either. Maybe someone renovated it as a weekend DIY project, but basic standards still matter when you're hosting guests. It feels like the focus is making money instead of giving people a decent stay. I can't recommend it.

The place is quiet, has secure parking and is an easy walk from the city center. The apartment itself is unusual but still comfortable and practical, and the U17 handball team had a great evening. Everyone liked the net for watching video, and the sleeping area works well: four people can each have their own space, rather than sharing bunk beds. It's also set away from the main room, so some people can sleep while others stay up. The computer connected to the screen right away and worked perfectly. The lights were on late, maybe all night on Saturdays, I think. Some small work on the stairs is underway, as noted, but we stopped noticing it after about 20 seconds. We'll be back.

The cottage is handy for the city center and the Albi national stage, where we went to see shows. We had a lovely time with friends. The rooms have high beds, and there's a video projector for movies. Breakfast was great too.

We spent a night here and liked the place so much we had a drink before dinner instead of heading to a restaurant. We sat on the lovely catamaran hammock in the TV room and put the world to rights. The decor, atmosphere and our host Alex were all just right. Even when the next day turned rainy, we could linger in the calm, relaxing space before getting back on the road. Such a unique, cool hostel. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend it.
