After being disappointed by other hotels in villages around Toulouse, we were pleasantly surprised by Hotel Laperouse. Our room was small but lovely, air-conditioned, and very comfortable, which was a big plus during the heat wave. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. It’s about an 8 minute walk from the cathedral and the Toulouse-Lautrec museum, and 13 minutes from the train station.

The hotel is right in the center of Albi, just a few minutes on foot from restaurants, museums, and the cathedral. We had a terrific stay at Laperouse. The staff were professional, friendly, and wonderful, and breakfast was excellent, with scrambled eggs too. Our room had a towel dryer and a small refrigerator. The pool was heated, and the outdoor area was peaceful. If you’re driving, reserve parking ahead of time. There’s also a public enclosed garage about 200 meters away. Albi’s bike infrastructure has improved a lot, like in many French cities. A few blocks from the hotel, you can get onto quiet streets, roads with bike lanes, or separated bike lanes.

We found this place to be a gem and highly recommend Hotel Lapérouse. The room was beautiful and comfortable, the spaces were nicely decorated and furnished, and the breakfast had great options. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is hard to beat.

Despite the traffic right outside, the hotel was surprisingly quiet. We spent two nights here, and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s in a prime spot in Albi, with the theatre and restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend it.
