After two hours at Albi station, our promised train was cancelled because of Tempete Benjamin, and there was no alternative. Everyone stepping off got caught in the downpour, with around 300 soaked people packed into the waiting room. I booked a couple of rooms on my phone while standing in the rain, at the hotel across the road. Two minutes later we arrived like drowned rats, but the keys were ready within a minute. That was a welcome! An hour after that, we were having Kir Royales in the bar. The restaurant was excellent.

The staff were the kindest and most helpful part of our stay. The hotel itself was quiet, right across from the railway station, and comfortable, with decent food. Thank you all so much.

I loved being here, mostly because everyone on staff was so kind and ready to help with anything. My room was a little dated and could have been better, but the rest of the stay more than made up for that. You can walk all around albi, and the station is right across the street, which is handy for an early train. I'd come back anytime.

Dinner was the real highlight for us, the food was exceptional. Breakfast was good as well, and the staff were attentive and very friendly throughout our three nights. The hotel is central in Albi, opposite the train station, and an easy walk to town and Saint Cecile Cathedral, which is unbelievable and a must see. Cordes-sur-Ciel and Puycelsi are also an easy drive away.

The 33€ menu was nicely presented and had good flavours. We were shown to a pleasant table in a restaurant with a nice atmosphere, after a staff member took our coats when we arrived. The service was attentive without hovering.🐯
