Our room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed, with lovely views over the river and city. The hotel sits beside the Tarn, looking across the weir toward the great cathedral. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. The restaurant was closed, though the bar had tapas and small plates. Parking was available. We'd definitely recommend it and are planning to come back, Albi is an amazing city!

The Mercure is a fabulous place to stay in Albi, and the views alone make it worth spending at least a night. Our Jr. Suite cost extra, but the added space and scenery made it worthwhile. It felt magical. Manureva at reception, Arnaud the Food & Beverage/Sommelier, and Katia in the breakfast room were warm, welcoming, professional, and helpful. We ate elsewhere, so I can't comment on the food here, though a couple we met said they liked the restaurant. Amapola is about a 3min walk away, and we absolutely loved it.

We found the staff superb, and both the excellent breakfast selection of protein, fruits, and drinks and the dinner we had one evening were very good. The hotel's position gives a great view of the St. Cecile cathedral. Our only quibble is the rooms: we're used to smaller spaces, but these could use updating. Having stayed at several Mercure hotels, most recently the one in St. Lary-Soulan, I felt this Albi hotel's rooms need modernizing.

The staff are so friendly and attentive that staying here feels like coming home. As Platinum Guests, we've always been very impressed, and I'd call this a flagship for the Mercure brand. The new Suites are spacious, spotless, and tidy, with wonderful views, and are well worth the upgrade. The new Bar and Restaurant are delightful, with excellent dinner and breakfast, and free parking is always welcome. Albi has also recently been refurbished and updated, especially the bridges, which look beautiful. It made us feel very emotional. Merci. 5 stars.

Albi turned out to offer much more than the Toulouse Lautrec museum, and the Mercure Albi Rives du Tarn made it easy to get around. Most facilities and quite a few restaurants are within walking distance. We loved our river view room, which was clean, well presented, and well maintained, with daily cleaning. The hotel's restaurant served some very nice meals. Staff were friendly, helpful, and informative, and went out of their way to make our stay worry free. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you.
