I stayed at the Moulin Perkain a year ago, the night before a 1200 km off-road bike race through the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean Sea. I slept like a baby, and the host was lovely. Since I had an early start on race day, he arranged a very complete, luxurious breakfast at a convenient hour. The relaxed atmosphere and sense of Basque culture made me wish I could have stayed longer. I’m planning a summer holiday with the kids this year and may see if we can add a few nights here.

Everyone at the house was so kind, and the place itself was truly spectacular. I had a fantastic time there about two years ago. I’ve been hoping to return this year, partly because I’d like to take a training course there too.

The sound bath was a lovely bonus for really unwinding. I also had a beautiful experience in the energy room, with the sound of water flowing underneath you. Frederico was such an attentive host. Thank you so much!

The house is a superb old mill, with water still running through it, and the whole place feels like a little haven of peace. It’s an artist’s home worth discovering, with a remarkable host. We’ll be back. J&J
