Hotel Les Orangers

The host was very friendly and kindly charged us for six nights instead of seven when a storm canceled our ferry to Sardinia and we had to leave early. He didn’t speak English, perhaps because eight out of ten guests are French. We tried our little bit of French too, so we weren’t just being ignorant. The location worked well for exploring this side of the island, close to the beach, a couple of restaurants and bars, and a supermarket. There’s also a bar and pizzeria on site, and the pool was decent. Our room wasn’t really suited to a long stay, though we should have checked the facilities more carefully. The balcony had no light, the shower head needed replacing, there was no fridge, and there were no sockets by the bed or in the bathroom for a shaver or hairdryer. The front door was always open, so anyone could walk into the hotel. Just mentioning it for the next person. For one or two nights, it’s fine.
