Appart City Paris Alfortville

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Prices are low, though getting there from CDG costs about 70 euros by taxi and the station is a bit of a walk. Paris is around 15km away, and apparently an easy bike ride, lol. The closest supermarket is being renovated, so the next one is about 1km away. There are many black families around, but I got comfortable with that after a while.

I'd strongly recommend staying elsewhere. The hotel was noisy, with many families living there, and the rooms felt badly outdated. The carpets were dirty, the tobacco smell was strong, and there was no heating or Wi-Fi. Closet doors were coming off and there were holes in the doors. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

The state of the hallway was awful, with vomit, spit, and dirt that looked like it had been there for months. The first room was even worse: I spotted a cockroach on the wall, then found at least 30 when I pushed the bed back. They were under and beside the bed, in the microwave and fridge, and in the bathroom. I went to reception to ask for insecticide, but they offered car air freshener and said I could still sleep there if there were only a few, once I had removed them. I couldn't accept that, so they moved us to another room. It seemed better at first, but cockroaches were crawling on the walls during the night there too. The whole place seemed contaminated. Run away! I rarely write reviews, but this was a nightmare. When we arrived, a friendly staff member found my reservation and got four or five apartment keys from a colleague, who checked the rooms before we went upstairs. Up to that point, everything was fine. I've never seen anything like what came next.

No TV in the room, and dust and cobwebs everywhere. The hallways and stairs were dirty too, with rubbish on the floor. The rooms aren't well insulated from the others. I'd really recommend finding another hotel.
