A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "Le Beau Site" is located in Allos. This hotel is located in the city center. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel. Places nearby: Honore Caire Ski Lift, Clos Bertrand Ski Lift and Val d Allos Ski Resort. Location You can stop by the bar. You can stop by the restaurant. I paid 15 euros for coffee, stale bread toasted, and jam. Felt completely ripped off. I should've asked what it cost first, so make sure you check.

Christophe, the manager, gave us an excellent welcome. The room was spotless, the bed was just right, and the mountain view was superb. Allos town centre is only 250 metres away. Hard to ask for more.

We had a good welcome, and dinner at the restaurant was very good. Sleeping there was another matter. Our room was small, the bathroom tiny, and there was no soundproofing at all. From the first floor we could hear the bar's music and conversations until very late. Breakfast cost extra and wasn't very good. In a region surely full of beekeepers, serving honey from a tub of unclear origin feels criminal. I'd avoid this hotel if you need a good night's sleep.

The evening meal was enjoyable, especially the homemade stuffed veal rolls, and the service was pleasant. The owner, though, wasn't. The rooms are dated and the beds so uncomfortable I had to cling to the edge to keep from rolling into my roommate. For the money, it wasn't worth it. There are other places to choose from, so look elsewhere.

The bar came through when we wanted a TV for the rugby. At Le Beau Site they even gave us charcuterie and mountain cheese, which would cost €10 elsewhere. We also had a great family meal in the restaurant. There isn't a printed menu, just the daily special and five or six dishes on a chalkboard. The honey-glazed duck breast was excellent, and the service was pleasant.
