The rooms are small, but that was the least of our worries. There were mushrooms on the ceiling, mold in the beds, and signs of rodents. It hadn't been properly cleaned either, with the previous guests' rubbish still under the beds. Turning on the heating made the whole place smell like something was rotting. Another guest didn't even have a balcony door on their first day. How does that happen? We were trying this location with our student group, and the organization won't be coming back. A student residence doesn't need to be fancy, but it should at least have the basics. This felt like a cash grab by the owners of a dying ski resort. An absolute horror of an experience.

We had a great holiday and would probably come back, even with the drawbacks. Pra Loup was excellent, with fast lifts and so many runs that it never seemed too crowded. Getting there takes patience: the chairlifts in Foux are slow, apart from the six-seater, and so are the lifts connecting to Pra Loup. Our six-person apartment was fairly spacious and faced southeast. We had a separate bathroom and toilet downstairs, plus an en-suite shower room upstairs. The top-floor duplexes seem like the best choice. The kitchen was separate and well equipped, with a combination microwave oven and dishwasher, though no kettle or mugs. There was plenty of hot water and the electric radiators put out lots of heat. Linen was supplied, but not towels. We had a flat-screen TV with several French channels at no extra charge. The staff were friendly during our stay, though that could change at any time. The location is about 100 metres from the slopes, but reaching the pedestrian bridge southwest of the property means climbing a short, steep slope. School and university ski groups can be very noisy, so a top-floor duplex avoids having neighbours above. The place looks worn down as a result of the noise and use: dirty walls, tired floors and furniture, and awful lifts. We got used to it after a day. There are no wardrobes or shower curtains, or even rails for them, so don't bring your own. They provide one toilet roll, then you're on your own. The listing was wrong about free internet in public areas and a ski bus stop beside the property. There was no internet at all, and the bus stops 300 metres down the road. It's a shuttle that loops around the village from 8am to 6pm. There's only one daily ski bus to Seignus down the valley, except during French school holidays, when there are three. It leaves from the village centre. We had no trouble getting our deposit back, despite earlier reports, but we cleaned the apartment before leaving. On arrival we checked the inventory, noted anything missing or damaged, and took lots of photos just in case.

The location was nice, and the big balcony and working radiator were good. Inside, though, the room for six felt cramped, with too little space for our group. Several things were broken or not working, including the dishwasher, and there was an unrepaired hole in the wall. Holes in the curtains let in lots of light when we were trying to sleep. The chairs felt fragile, and there were no plugs for the sink or bath. The pool wasn't available. The blankets we had to put the sheets over hadn't been washed, and had lots of hair on them.

It's a casual place with the basics, but a long way from the town centre. You can catch a bus into town, or go around behind the hotel toward the piste to reach the ski slopes.

The place is much too small, and there's no Wi-Fi in the room. The beds are for small people. The dishwasher was out of order, and half the stove didn't work.
