Martine's knowledge of Amboise made our time in the Loire Valley feel like much more than a quick stop. She suggested which chateaux to see and when, the better riverbank for scenic drives, free parking in the town centre, and where to find the town's only laundromat. She also shared discount vouchers and even free entry tickets, which saved us money and time in queues. She speaks excellent English and is incredibly generous with her help. The house is in a working class area, a short walk from the rail station, and feels like a regular home rather than a grand mansion. Hens, rabbits and a cherry tree with fruit give the yard a little country estate feel. And the bed was the most comfortable one we had during our five week trip. This was an experience in itself, not just a place to spend the night.

Martine and her little dog Taia gave us such a warm welcome. We loved the setting, and it's only a few minutes on foot from the center of Amboise. The room was lovely and comfortable, with excellent bedding, and breakfast came with delicious jams. Thanks for a really nice stay. I'd happily recommend this bed and breakfast.

The room was spotless, and breakfast was good. Martine is very kind and offers discounts for nearby places. Just be aware that the bathroom isn't in the room. You reach it through a hallway that other guests may also use. There are also quite a few animals in and around the house, including a dog, cats, chickens and a rabbit.

We had a very good stay for two nights in this quiet house. Martine was so kind and attentive, and gave us tips on places to visit and eat. Breakfast was generous, and you can even have fresh eggs from her hens. I highly recommend staying here. We'll be back, and thank you very much, Martine.
