We were two people on a cycling holiday in the Loire valley in September, and had a really nice stay at Villa Roma B&B. The rooms were lovely, with tasteful furnishings and plenty of space. Our hosts were friendly and helped us with our bikes and luggage. Breakfast was fresh, simple, and delicious.

It was a charming old building with views of the chateau, reached through a narrow medieval alley. We found the location, cuisine, and value excellent, and the staff were very kind and helpful.

The main drawback for me was the service. Breakfast doesn't begin until 9 am, so having it can take up your whole morning. The rooms also have no air conditioning, and during a heatwave the small fan provided for the whole room is practically useless. The price is another downside, though it's in line with Amboise's average, so that's a minor complaint. The establishment is ideally located in the center of Amboise.

The location couldn't be better, right by the castle and in the town center, and breakfast was good. We got a very friendly welcome. We arrived while the restaurant was serving, but the person who greeted us stayed calm and pleasant. Getting in with bikes was a bit tricky, especially with fairly heavy e-bikes. The room was noisy from the air conditioning, and there was an odor when the windows were open.

The staff were very pleasant, and breakfast was quite decent. Our room was lovely and had a view of the castle. I highly recommend it!
