L’Émeraude Amiens

A lovely place to slow down and relax. The decor is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, and the amenities are high quality, including a sauna, jacuzzi and kitchen. We had everything we needed, and more. The whole setup feels private, with hosts who are discreet but attentive. We highly recommend it and would gladly return. Thanks again to our hosts, see you soon!

Everything we needed was available in this peaceful place, furnished with lovely taste. We especially appreciated the attention from our daughter. It was a very pleasant stay, and we’ll come back.

There was no breakfast, although it had been advertised. The studio was nice, but ventilation seemed inadequate and there was a lot of mold, which was a problem for my respiratory allergies. The toilet was unsafe because the seat wasn’t secured and could trip someone. It was also dirty, including the handwashing sink’s soap dispenser, and the countertop on that unit was torn. Oddly, our Airbnb review never showed up, even though we were ready to recommend the place despite all this. I hope it won’t be removed and that the owners take responsibility.

The only things that kept this from a perfect five stars were the stagnant water in the kettle and dishes left dirty by previous guests. I can’t say that was necessarily L'Émeraude management’s fault, but someone should check it. Otherwise, I had an excellent weekend there. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, just minutes from Amiens, so I could enjoy both the city center and the calm of the area. The amenities were top-notch, with a sauna, hot tub, smart TVs and a fully equipped kitchen.
