LE CATHÉDRALE face à la Cathédrale, 6 couchages

I adored my stay in this really authentic-feeling hotel. The host was so kind and helpful. The Wi-Fi wasn't great, and I wish the pillows were softer, but nothing can be perfect.

Room number four felt like looking at a painting, with its big picture window framing the top of the stunning cathedral. The bathroom also had a huge soaking tub, which I really enjoyed. The hotel is a short walk from the train station, and the friendly, helpful staff made it even better. We thought it was excellent value and really liked our stay. The place has lots of charm and character, mixing modern French minimalism with the elegant rustic beams of a 17 century building. Just keep in mind that the rooms involve carrying luggage up a couple of flights of stairs, and getting into a tub shower may be an issue for some.

The staff are lovely, breakfast is good, and our room was clean, fine and well supplied with fans, coffee and power outlets. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay. The Wi-Fi is terrible. It disconnects as soon as your screen goes blank, so you have to request a fresh connection manually each time. The speed is slow enough that streaming video often isn't possible. I hope they can improve it.

The cathedral view is breathtaking, just perfect. We had a lovely stay, and the staff were really friendly and helpful when we checked in early in the rain, even though we don't speak much French. Breakfast had lots of options and was great. Many sights are within walking distance too.
