We were a family of five visiting the region and used this hotel and restaurant as our main base. The staff gave great service, and the restaurant portions were generous, though the meat and fish menus had limited choices. Breakfast was the same every day, but you could ask for egg dishes if you wanted. Since you’re right in the center of Ancelle, the church bells will wake you at 7 AM. No clock needed!

Simple and clean, with friendly staff.
The food was pure comfort, like eating at your mother’s or grandmother’s. It’s traditional, generous cooking with that old-fashioned canteen feel you hardly find anymore. The hotel itself has a rustic, authentic character, and everyone was exceptionally kind, from the owners to the waiters. A lovely escape if you’re after genuine warmth and delicious food. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
