I’d stayed here for several years and used to think it was a really good campsite. Since the flooding, though, it hasn’t been the same. Now it feels like a place that just takes your money: it’s very expensive and out of date. There’s no restaurant or bar, and the pool loungers are stuck in the sun with no way to move them. That was my last visit. ☹️☹️

The pitches were right beside a busy, noisy road, and the river was noisy too. The water wasn’t deep enough for swimming. We’d only meant to look around before booking, but the owner stopped us halfway through the site and spoke to us angrily and rudely. He could at least have asked us to leave respectfully. We were tired from travelling, so we ended up staying two nights.

It’s an okay campsite, I guess. The location near the river and pretty town is nice, and it wasn’t especially dirty, though it wasn’t the prettiest place either. WiFi is free for only half an hour a day near reception; after that, you have to pay.

I’m staying at a campsite two places away and their music still keeps me awake. It’s far too loud for such quiet, peaceful surroundings.

A lovely little campsite by the river, with friendly people and plenty to do both on site and nearby. The pool is nice, and there are places to eat too.
