ibis Angers Centre Château

In hindsight it was okay, but getting parked and finding the chargers was stressful, and the hotel wasn't much help. We wanted somewhere central with parking and EV charging, but I hadn't understood that both were in a nearby public car park. Traffic was very heavy and there was nowhere to stop near the hotel and ask. By the time we were directed to the car park, it was full, though we got a space after a short wait. We didn't see a sign for chargers. When we returned the next day, the chargers were obvious, so they must all have been occupied when we arrived.

I liked staying here and would recommend it. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a towel, shampoo, a fan, and plastic glasses. Wi-Fi was free. Breakfast included several kinds of bread, ham, sausage, sour cream, yogurt, tea, coffee, fruit, jam, boiled eggs, and two kinds of cereal. The location is perfect, right in the city center near the sights of this clean, pleasant city on the riverbank.

I stay here for work often, and this week it was just one night. Mrs Amala, the chef, was amazing and kind. With all my allergies, she still found me something to eat so I didn't go hungry. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this IBIS and its staff.

We used this as a base for seeing the cathedral and castle with its tapestries. Both are within walking distance. There's also a fantastic food hall across the road.
