We had paid €70 for cleaning for four people, yet the coffee maker still needed washing, and the fridge had a few stains, just coffee and a few marks. The gîte has no ashtray, and because we're smokers, we got some unpleasant comments. The three Malinois were let loose at different times. They're not bad dogs, but you shouldn't have to be unafraid of them. Most upsettingly, when we asked for our deposit back, the owner lost her temper and raised her hand as if to hit us. They refused to return it over the unwashed coffee maker and the stained fridge. I really don't recommend this place.

Jean-Pierre took the dogs for an evening walk towards the pond, in the direction of the end of the world, and we saw deer along the way. We were welcomed warmly with a glass of rosé. The dinners were generous and reasonably priced, and breakfast came with fresh bread and excellent jams.

Dinner was very much to our taste, and the welcome drink was fantastic. We got a very warm welcome, and the atmosphere was exceptional, if you appreciate humor. The room was clean, spacious, and well equipped. A mirror in the room would be handy for doing your hair when the bathroom is occupied. Breakfast was plentiful, with bread, fruit, and more. All in all, a lovely stay and an address we'd recommend without hesitation. Brigitte, Dany, and Clement from Belgium.

The rooms are basic, with no lampshades, and the towels smell musty. The three rooms upstairs are beneath the roof and aren't insulated. Breakfast didn't match the website description: there was no cheese, apple juice, or fruit. The three Belgian Malinois bark whenever someone passes their enclosure, which is in front of the house entrance, and they start as early as 7:00 a.m. They're let out even when adult and child guests are there. At the gate, the owners greet you with a barking dog and a curt "What's this?!" At breakfast it's another curt "What's up?!" They watch your every move on their property from morning to night, to the point that it makes you feel paranoid.

The food and rooms are quite decent, and you can eat in peace, but at the end of the meal this gentleman lets his three Malinois out without asking whether his guests are comfortable with it. If you're afraid of dogs, it's the same situation, even if you have young children.
