Olivier is an incredibly kind, attentive host, and the shared living room, kitchen and outdoor areas add to the friendly feel. We had such an enjoyable, refreshing stay, less than a two-hour drive from Paris. There’s a real sense of authenticity, simplicity and nature here, a paradise for young and old. It’s a great base for seeing the Loire Valley châteaux and trying local products, then cooling off in the beautiful pool. Yesterday the water was 28°C. There’s so much to do on the property: sauna, soccer goal, ping pong, volleyball, hammocks, badminton, pétanque, canoeing and a place to learn rock climbing. Bikes are available too, and there are lovely views and hikes. In winter, there’s a fireplace. Whether you want activity or relaxation, with family, friends, as a couple or on your own, there’s something for you. The accommodation is nicely decorated and fully equipped, with rooms, family suites, studios, a caravan, and even an authentic Volkswagen camper van converted into a room. Evenings can be spent around the campfire, having a barbecue and toasting marshmallows. At €80 per night for 2 people, it’s very reasonably priced. Go with your eyes closed, you won’t regret it. I’ve already booked at least two more weekends between now and October, plus a stay next summer!
