Azureva Anglet

It's very well located, about a five-minute walk from the beach, with a great car park. The rooms are small and simple but clean. There's also a pool, tennis court, ping pong and pool tables, a restaurant, and a petanque field.

The garden view was beautiful, and the pool looked very clean even though it wasn't open yet. Staff were plentiful and helpful, with most speaking English. The receptionist gave us useful tips for shopping and getting around by bus, and there are plenty of buses near the hotel that reach lots of places. Breakfast was delicious, with pastries, cereal, yogurt, coffee, baguettes, and other choices. I'd recommend staying here, especially for the affordable price.

The rooms may feel a bit small to some, though they worked fine for us. Otherwise we had a great stay at Azureva Anglet, especially for a 2 star hotel. My boys made good use of the pool, tennis and basketball courts, volleyball court, games room with video games and ping pong, plus the kids club's weekly laser game outing. The food had plenty of variety at every meal. The setting is great, with an ocean view and surfing spots nearby, and Biarritz close too. Cheap buses make it easy to visit Bayonne. The staff were friendly and helpful, and drinks at the hotel bar were inexpensive.

Friendly staff and reasonable prices at the bar were a plus, and the ocean is only a few minutes away. There's an outdoor pool and a tennis court too. The rooms are quite small, and the bathroom door doesn't seal properly. Fine for a couple of days, but this is mostly a budget 2 star hotel.
