Everyone was comfortable in this charming, character-filled cottage, and it was so peaceful. There were about ten of us, and the six bedrooms, including the dovecote, worked perfectly. The large pool, wooded garden, ping-pong table, and other outdoor games kept things easy, while walking and cycling paths run right beside the place. Thanks to the owner for the warm welcome, flexible check-in and check-out, lending us the electric bike, and the Cahors wine.
A real breath of fresh air, in a charming, characterful building out in the countryside. A lovely place to recharge and get away from the worries of the 21st century. 🤗😜
The host was kind and flexible about the rental, and I’m sure we’ll come back. We rented the large gîte and the dovecote for a week with friends and young children, and it was perfect: well-equipped, peaceful, secure, and with a lovely pool. We’ve just returned from our week at this wonderful place in Montcuq, and simply didn’t want to leave. The gîte had everything we needed.
A quiet family get-together works really well here. The cottage is well equipped and tucked away in a secluded hamlet where you feel alone in the world. There are pleasant walks nearby, and the lovely villages of Montcuq and Lauzerte are about 10 km away. For other outings, be prepared to spend time driving along winding roads.
We had such a good time here with friends, relaxing in the shade of the linden trees, by the pool, and under the colorful string lights. It’s a beautiful, cozy, peaceful spot right at the foot of a hiking trail. Daniel's wine and restaurant tips were much appreciated, and the figs are delicious ;) Highly recommend.
