The nearby quiet park with a playground, very good bakery, pharmacy, and nice pizzeria were useful, though the pizzeria was pricey, €6 for a small beer. Free wifi had good coverage, and the mattress was comfortable. But this is probably the worst hotel we’ve stayed in, especially for €140. It’s very old, cramped and claustrophobic, with Second World War decor. There’s no reception, and when we had a problem the people on the phone were very unfriendly. No soap at the washbasin, nowhere to hang a hand towel, and the bathroom is so tight you can hardly sit on the toilet with your legs forward. The plumbing is old. There’s no breakfast or air conditioning. With the windows shut, the room turns into an oven; open them and the busy street is really loud. The room is so cramped that with the windows open you literally can’t move anymore. There’s no elevator, just very steep, narrow stairs. The TV is tiny, almost a joke, and there was mold in the “closet”.

For one night, I’d recommend it at this price, especially since there’s a bus to the beach and airport. The place is quite small and missing a few things.

The room was comfortable and cozy, and the bistrot area had delicious food. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.

We had a warm welcome, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom made the stay uncomfortable, though. The room was very small, and the bathroom was so poorly designed it was impossible to sit comfortably on the toilet. The shower kept swinging between cold and scalding water. During our four days and three nights, the room wasn’t cleaned once, not even vacuumed, which was disappointing at this price. Breakfast was also underwhelming compared with the photos. The €9 sweet option was just a small piece of brioche, coffee, and orange juice. The savory choices were a little more substantial, but the pictures still didn’t match reality. The busy road nearby made it extremely noisy even with the windows closed. At around €130-140 per night, plus €12 or €9 for breakfast, we expected more comfort, or at least a price that better matched the amenities and surroundings. There was a friendly welcome and good intentions, but the value for money isn’t there. A few changes could make the experience much better.
