ibis budget Angoulême Centre

We use the covered car park on the next street, though there’s also a very small car park at the hotel. Everything is close enough to reach on foot, including the train station. We come every year for the annual car race because the place suits us perfectly. Sonia has been the manager over the years, and it shows in how consistently good our stays are. Every staff member we’ve met has been smiling and lovely. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else, and we’ve recommended it to lots of friends who live just outside the area. It’s ideal for a short break.

The rooms are small but do the job, and the city centre is in a great spot for getting around. There’s no parking at the hotel, though you can find several car parks nearby.

For the low price, the location is handy and the staff are helpful. It’s an easy walk to the train station. The rooms are tiny with no amenities, and there’s mold in the showers.

While I was away from my room, my most valuable Hugo Boss wristwatch was stolen by hotel staff. I reported it at reception, but they acted like nothing had happened. That watch cost me a fortune, and losing something I valued so much is painful. If you stay here, hide your valuables because the staff will steal them.
