The room was spacious and spotless, and the friendly staff made a good impression. Although the street initially seemed uninspiring and the lobby visible from outside looked a bit drab, the area felt safe and quiet. It's just 100 meters from the edge of the restored center of town, close to plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops. From the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much, and we got the impression the renovation was happening slowly. The one real downside was the poor wifi. We liked the place and recommend it highly.

It felt like staying at my grandparents' house, the one I remember from coming to the festival as a kid. The rooms could have come straight out of movies or comics, and the mix of old and new works really well. This place is a true haven of peace, run by an incredibly kind couple. There must have been some very talented people staying here. It makes sense, since this is apparently the city of comics. A major comics festival is happening right now, and only the most dedicated cartoonists are here, including me! 😋 It's Kalimero calling!
