Breakfast was a highlight: generous, tasty, and made with local products, in a welcoming, elegant space. The hotel is also in a lovely quiet spot just steps from the historic center. My room was spotless and comfortable, with tasteful decor and all the modern amenities. The bedding was high quality, and it was completely quiet. Little extras like toiletries and a coffee machine were a nice touch. The welcome was warm and professional, and the staff were attentive and clearly wanted guests to feel at ease. I had a perfect stay at the Lucien and would gladly return, for work or a weekend away.

My room faced the courtyard, so it was very peaceful. Le Lucien is only a short walk from the train station, and I had a really pleasant stay. I'll choose it again next time I'm in Angoulême.
