ibis Styles Annecy Gare Centre

My booking vanished from my customer account without any explanation, so I couldn't check the guest count. I even had to email to make sure the reservation was right. I'd booked the room a year ahead, always planning to stay with another guest, but a system error had registered it for just one person. At the hotel I was unexpectedly charged extra for the second breakfast, and they wouldn't be flexible about it. It was an unpleasant experience and not what I'd expect from a chain like Accor. I hope they review these procedures so other customers don't have the same problem.

Sole and Castiel at reception were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is good value, about a 10mins walk from Annecy station and 17-20mins on foot from the lake. I had a nice view from my room window.

The staff kept in touch before we arrived and while we were there, and breakfast was adequate. The hotel isn't right in the center, so expect about a 13-15 minute walk to town and 25-30 minutes to the lake “beaches.” Our room felt very outdated, and the air conditioning didn't work well.

The room was nice, and the hotel was comfortable in a quiet, convenient spot. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of local produce. The staff were friendly, helpful, and hardworking.
