We were promised help and a portable heater, but nothing arrived before morning. We came back from dinner to a cold room and spent the night freezing; the heater was finally brought at 8:45 a.m., just an hour before we had to leave. The main radiator in our room was cold when we arrived, even though it was freezing outside, and the air conditioning kept blowing cold air when set above 23°C. After two calls to the service, the radiator only got lukewarm. The bathroom radiator never worked because a valve was missing. The rest of the experience disappointed us too. The room wasn’t as clean as expected, with dust and residue on the decorations, and too few of the power outlets in the room worked.

The design is cute and the location is good, but that’s pretty much it. The bedsheets didn’t smell fresh, and there was no TV in the room, fridge, or safe. Most frustrating, there’s no private parking, although booking.com lists it among the services. Public parking is nearby, but it was full. Too expensive for what you get.

Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely, though the €20 per person price felt high for the limited selection. Staff were polite but reserved, with no smiles. The old building has plenty of charm, and the clean, nicely decorated rooms had comfortable beds, good air conditioning, and soundproofing. It’s an easy walk to the lake and old town.

Our room had been pleasant until 3.30am, when other guests arrived and made noise for over two hours. A strong smell of coffee? and other food spread into our room too. It spoiled what could have been a nice visit.

The room was clean and pretty, and self-check-in went very smoothly. In the morning, the staff gave us a lovely welcome, along with a very friendly Labrador retriever. The accommodation is beautiful, with nearby parking, right by the lake and the city center old town. We’ll be back, and many thanks to the team for hosting us.
