Kyriad Annemasse - Genève

We were on a school trip to Geneva and stayed at the hotel for two nights. Some friends and I were sitting in a room and may have been a bit noisy when there was suddenly a loud bang at the door. An older man who said he was the manager then burst in and threatened us to make us quiet. We’re underage, and the way he behaved left us traumatized. He could have approached us more professionally. I don’t recommend this place.

Our school group stayed here for two nights during a field trip to Geneva. We were a little mischievous on the first night, as young people wanting to have some fun, but it wasn’t anything extreme. Seven of us were in the room playing a board game, and we were arguing a bit loudly, though not for long. Nobody came to give us a warning or ask us to quiet down. Instead, a man claiming to be the manager knocked very aggressively, opened the door himself, and started yelling at us in French. It looked as if he had broken the door down. The hotel offers no privacy if anyone can just get into your room. I do not recommend it. Please avoid staying there!

The rooms were good and clean, but the shower had no door, which was strange. The buffet was small and could be expanded. On our school trip they didn’t ask the whole group how we wanted the beef cooked. Many of us, as Southern Europeans, weren’t used to that food and got stomach aches, and staff said they wouldn’t cook it more. Something at the reception desk smelled bad, too. This hotel needs upgrades.

The service was awful. There was only one towel for a room with two people, and when we asked the man at reception for another, he got angry and yelled at us. Breakfast was also terrible: at first there was only bread and water. There were eggs, but we were told they weren’t for us. No bacon was available, and the coffee machines were covered, so a man poured the coffee for us. Only after they saw us leaving and other guests arriving did they start putting out eggs, bacon, and even some fruit. A horrible experience, I don’t recommend it.
